Founder + Entrepreneurship Instructor

Will Gregory is the founder of the Veteran Startup Challenge. Prior, he served as a Research Scientist at NYU’s Tandon School of Engineering and the founding Head of Acceleration for MD5 (now called NSIN), the Department of Defense’s national security technology accelerator. At MD5 he designed and led the execution of programs such as MD5 Fulcrum (a hardtech accelerator for dual civ/mil use startups), MD5 Launch (a startup studio launching ventures from DoD research lab technology), MD5 Boot Camp (an intensive entrepreneurial training program for military intrapreneurs), and MD5 Hacks (a hardtech hackathon series). Before joining MD5, Will advised numerous startups and startup accelerators and served in Helmand Province, Afghanistan on the DoD’s Human Terrain Teams. Will is a graduate of Oxford University.

Technical Instructor

Chris Abrams is a software engineer, founder, and serial Chief Technology Officer. He has worked in a diverse set of fields ranging from finance as the Head of Product Engineering at digital asset venture Avanti Financial Group, to aerospace as a Lead Software Architect working on NASA's space suit, to publishing as Director of Engineering at Condé Nast and the CTO of Matters Media. He started his career in tech as an Engineer In Residence at Tech Wildcatters and as a Lead Product Engineer at StumbleUpon. Chris is a graduate of Harvard University and Texas A&M University.
