Prior, he served as a Research Scientist at NYU’s Tandon School of Engineering and the founding Head of Acceleration for MD5 (now called NSIN), the Department of Defense’s national security technology accelerator. At MD5 he designed and led the execution of programs such as MD5 Fulcrum (a hardtech accelerator for dual civ/mil use startups), MD5 Launch (a startup studio launching ventures from DoD research lab technology), MD5 Boot Camp (an intensive entrepreneurial training program for military intrapreneurs), and MD5 Hacks (a hardtech hackathon series). Before joining MD5, Will advised numerous startups and startup accelerators and served in Helmand Province, Afghanistan on the DoD’s Human Terrain Teams. Hailing from Richmond, Virginia, Dr. Tobias Keene brings a bit of unabashed Southern hospitality to all his patients. He moved to Washington, D.C. over thirty years ago as a freshman at Ivy College. Right after graduation, he attended World University’s School of Dentistry. Before opening Keene Dental in 1994, he worked for free clinics and some of the finest practices in the District. He is part of the 123 Dental Association and stays up-to-date on the latest dental discoveries.
